Nokia 7705 Twist for Verizon - Staying Connected
(Page 2 of 4 )
The Twist has a suggested talk time on a fully charged battery of 6.5 hours. You can save up to 1,000 contacts in the phone and input several phone numbers, email addresses, a street address, and more for each. You can sort your contacts into groups and also add a photo and ringtone to each person. There are 15 standard polyphonic ringtones that come on the Twist, but you can also download more.
You can further customize contacts by assigning each their own color that will come up on the “contact ring” of the phone, a design feature which we will discuss later. So, for instance, you can give your girlfriend the color pink as her contact ring color, so whenever you receive a phone call from her, the ring will illuminate in that specific color, letting you know who it is right from the start. It’s a nice little feature, although some may consider it overkill. Besides the contacts, you can personalize the Twist even more by downloading several different wallpapers and themes.
The Nokia 7705 Twist has plenty of higher-end features as well. It comes with Bluetooth for safe and convenient hands-free use. The Twist supports USB mass storage, and you can also sync the phone to your computer. For help while traveling, the phone has an integrated GPS that works in conjunction with the VZ Navigator service to provide you information on your current surroundings as well as turn-by-turn directions.
The Twist also has text-to-speech capabilities. For surfing the Internet, the Twist has a XHTML browser that allows you to view full web pages. The only down side to this feature is that it is limited by the Twist’s smallish display, so if you get easily annoyed by having to scroll a lot, you may want to look for a phone with a larger display.
