Now onto the 5310's specialty, music. It is like having an MP3 player inside your phone, and even comes with a FM radio tuner with station presets. Sound quality is good, although not great, via the phone's external speakers. It is very good, though, if you use headphones or peripheral speakers. There is no need to worry about the music player interfering with any calls either, as the player will pause automatically if there is an incoming call.
To transfer music onto the 5310 you just have to connect the phone to your computer via a USB cord, or you can perform the transfer using a microSD card. Transferring is a breeze thanks to drag and drop capability. Like some MP3 players, the 5310 incorporates album art. You can create play-lists, use Bluetooth to listen to your music, and even use your tracks as ring tones. There is an equalizer, as well as shuffle and repeat modes. The 5310 Xpress Music phone supports popular audio formats such as MP3, MP4, AAC, AND WMA.
The 5310 is still a phone first and foremost, and its performance as one is satisfactory. Call quality is very good with plenty of volume. Sound comes through crisp and clear. There is little static during calls either. In terms of battery, the 5310 is good for 5 hours of talk time and 18 hours of music playback according to Nokia.

Those looking for a cell phone that doubles as an MP3 player will not be disappointed with the Nokia 5310 Xpress Music phone. It is highly attractive and eye catching, and comes loaded with features and good performance. Transferring music is a breeze and the simplicity of the phone should satisfy anybody who purchases it.
