Going beyond their good looks, these phones come with some nice features and an intelligent design that should fit in well with your lifestyle.

    Motorola VE440 for MetroPCS

The Motorola VE440 is a basic phone with a couple frills thrown in to spice it up. Aimed at a younger crowd, it also comes with some interesting design features in its Limited Edition variety. The VE440 sells for $89 in its standard edition from MetroPCS. The Limited Edition with customized art back plates goes for $129.

The standard features of the Motorola VE440 include a speakerphone, an alarm clock, a calculator, and a stopwatch. To help you keep organized, there is a calendar and a notepad. A voice recorder is included in case you need to record any special thoughts that pop into your head. If you travel overseas and need help adjusting to the different time zones, there is a world clock.

You can store up to 500 contacts in the VE440's phone book. You can input several phone numbers, email addresses, notes, and more for each. For easier access, you can sort your contacts into groups, as well as allocate a photo and a ringtone to each.

There are 24 polyphonic ringtones that come standard on the phone. Many of the loaded ringtones come with a twist to reflect the edginess of the phone's style and presentation. Among these include Tattoo Gun and Going to the Car Show. These special tones come with the Limited Edition of the VE440.

Of course, if you are not a fan of the standard ringtones, you can download more from MetroPCS. You can also download custom wallpapers and themes to the phone, and it does come with some special wallpapers of the tattoo-ish variety.
