The Motorola ROKR E8 supports the GPRS and EDGE networks. The down side to this phone is that it does not support 3G technology. Instead, it's a 2G phone. It supports stereo Bluetooth wireless Class 2 (A2DP) technology. Unfortunately, the Motorola ROKR E8 does not support WLAN technology.
You can use the Motorola ROKR E8 cell phone to do the following messaging: instant, email, SMS, EMS, and MMS. If you want to do instant messaging, the mobile phone works with popular services, such as Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk, AOL, and Yahoo!
The Motorola ROKR E8 comes with a 2.0 mega pixel camera with an 8x zoom, featuring multi-shot, video capture and playback. Its resolution is 1600 x 1200 pixels.
As previously stated, engineers made music the central focus of the Motorola ROKR E8. First, you can load your songs from numerous sources. If you use Windows, you'll be happy to know that the Motorola ROKR E8 supports Windows Media Player 11. Use the drag-and-drop function to transfer your songs onto the phone. In addition, you can organize your music library by songs, playlists, artists, or albums.
Take advantage of the Motorola ROKR E8's built-in FM radio feature to download new music. The cell phone also has a Song ID feature that identifies and shows the song information. For those of you that are audiophiles, the Motorola ROKR E8 has surround sound. The cell phone supports the following music formats: Real Audio (RA) v10, Enhanced AAC+, WMA, WAV, AAC, AMR-NB, MIDI, and of course, MP3. You also have access to more than 200 online music stores.
The engineers also wanted you to be able share music with your friends and family. You can use the built-in speaker to share your music with them. Just think, you can do all of this without wires because of the Bluetooth wireless technology. You can also use you the 3.5 mm headset jack to plug in your standard stereo wired headphones. The Motorola ROKR E8 features an airplane mode that allows you to play uninterrupted music in the air. You can do this without using a SIM card.
