Boost Mobile is a division of Sprint that offers cellular customers the option of services without the need for a contract. Whether you have bad credit, or just don’t like the thought of having a long term phone contract hovering over your head, Boost gives you the worry-free flexibility of phone service without strings attached. Those in the market for a slider phone with a good feature set may want to take a look at the Motorola Debut i856 for Boost Mobile.
The Debut is the first iDen push-to-talk phone with a slider design, and it gives users some nice bells and whistles in a compact package. You can purchase the Motorola Debut i856 for $169.99. While that may seem a bit high, keep in mind that this price is contract-free.
The basic features on the Motorola Debut include a speakerphone, vibration alert, and an alarm clock. To help keep you organized, there is a voice recorder, a calendar, and a notepad. You can save up to 600 contacts in the debut, although the options for data entry on each are not as extensive as on other phones. You do get to store up to six phone numbers and two email addresses for each contact, though.
You can sort your contacts into different groups, and since it is a push-to-talk phone, there is a separate category for those specific contacts as well. You can also add a photo or ringtone to each contact. There are 21 standard polyphonic ringtones on the Debut, but you can always download more using the phone's web browser. Besides the ringtones, you can customize the Debut further in terms of various screen savers and themes that are available for download as well.
