Mastech 5-in-1 Multimeter Review - What's in the Box?
Aside from the fact that the box made it to my doorstep undamaged there really isn't much to point out. Though the fact that it was undamaged will come into play a little later.

There was no styrofoam in the box to protect its contents, but there was something I wasn't expecting doing the protecting, a quality nylon carrying case.

This comes in handy for the obvious reason that it will protect your multimeter when you're on the go or, if you're like me and won't be using it all that often, it gives you a safe place to store the device. The contents within the case are shown below and include the MS8209 multimeter, positive/negative test leads, K-type thermocouple, operating manual, and a single 9 volt battery(installed).

First I want to talk about the different testing wires. The test leads, which can be used for various things including testing the voltage and amperage of things, are some of the highest quality I've encountered. The wires themselves have more of a rubber-like coating as opposed to a plastic-like one. They seem both flexible and quite durable at the same time. The plugs and the lead points are also of the same high quality. There is nothing cheap about the feel or look of these leads.

Other than being clearly identifiable as positive (red) and negative(black), the lead points don't offer anything out of the ordinary. The plugs, on the other hand, do feature something simple yet unfound on cheaper products: plugs. Yep, plugs for the plugs. Sounds simple, but it will certainly help to maintain the quality and accuracy of the readings over the multimeter's long life.

Just make sure to remove them before attempting to plug them in. Not doing so will only lead to confusion and frustration.
