HTC Ozone - Networking and Multimedia
The integrated Wi-Fi on the HTC Ozone lets you connect to available wireless networks as well without having to use up your data plan. The Ozone also works with Verizon's EV-DO Rev. A network, which spans a whopping 242 metropolitan areas and 210 million users.
Those who travel internationally will be pleased to know that the HTC Ozone also comes with CDMA/GSM support that allows users to access the Internet as well as other services in over 220 countries using a SIM card that comes already installed in the smartphone. You can browse the Internet on the Ozone with Internet Explorer Mobile. A couple of added browsing features that are also included are Adobe Acrobat Reader and RSS Hub.
The HTC Ozone from Verizon also has add-on features that require a monthly fee. Among these are Visual Voice Mail; Mobile Broadband Connect, which allows you to use the phone as a tethered modem; and VZ Navigator, which helps you find your way around town.
Big fans of multimedia may not become big fans of the HTC Ozone, as its multimedia features and capability are rather limited. Windows Media Player comes on the Ozone, but it is not compatible with the carrier's music or video download services.
You can record your Kodak moments with the Ozone by using its 2 megapixel camera. The camera definitely isn't the greatest, but it does offer several customizable options when snapping those all-important mirror self pics for MySpace and Facebook. You can take shots in five different resolutions as well as adjust the brightness, color, quality, and zoom. The camera on the Ozone also supports video recording.
The amount of media you store on the Ozone is limited by its 256 MB of flash memory and 192 MB of ROM. For additional storage, you can use memory cards up to 16GB via the microUSB slot on the phone.
