    HTC HD2 for T-Mobile - HD2 Design

Last, but not least is the HD2's integrated 5-megapixel camera. It takes excellent photos and records video. The camera has flash, auto-focus, and a host of other adjustable settings.

The design of the HTC HD2 is anything but compact. If you value portability and need a tiny phone to fit into tight pockets, this phone is not for you. It measures 4.7 inches tall by 2.6 inches wide by 0.4 inch thick and weighs 5.5 ounces. Other than its large size, its appearance is standard, and it has a black color scheme.

The phone's front is dominated by its large 4.3-inch touch screen with 480 x 800 resolution. The touch screen provides superb graphics, and its size is a real plus for those looking to be entertained by their phone. The touch screen is very responsive and easy to use. The phone has a built-in accelerometer that automatically converts its orientation from portrait to landscape mode and vice versa when moved. The display also supports multi-touch gestures.

The on-screen virtual full QWERTY keyboard is large and great for messaging. As an added plus, the HD2 allows for a Swype mechanism, which essentially allows you to drag your finger from key to key while typing for more intuitive use. It takes some getting used to, but once accustomed to it, it is much more effective for typing and messaging than the usual pecking at keys. Below the display is a row of physical keys for the standard talk/end and other functions.

The HTC HD2 is quite an impressive smartphone. While it is not the most portable device out there, the sacrifice is well worth it, considering its large touch screen. Its feature set is about as complete as one could hope for. If you are in need of a smartphone that provides functionality as well as fun, put the HTC HD2 on your list.
