    HTC Cavalier S630 Review

Since 1997, HTC has been producing innovative smart phones and PDAs in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Their impressive track record has helped them become one of the fastest growing cell phone, PDA, and smart phone makers in the world. One of their newest creations is the HTC Cavalier S630, which is an unlocked smart phone that is fresh on the market for the summer of 2007.

    Introduction

The S630 is the follow-up to the very popular T-Mobile Dash (also known as the Excalibur) which was first released back in October of 2006. As of this writing, the S630 does not have a carrier, but it is rumored that either T-Mobile or AT&T will jump on board very soon. So, as of this moment, this phone is unlocked and can be used with the carrier of your choice. Because this phone is unlocked, it does come with a hefty price tag of around $540. Once this phone is picked up by a carrier, I would expect the price to hover around $200 with a two-year service agreement with the carrier.

The S630 is an excellent upgrade for T-Mobile Dash users. It offers a processor which is twice as fast as its predecessor, along with a host of other nice features. Both the S630 and the Dash are Quadband GSM phones which make them usable anywhere in the world.

One big difference between the two phones, though, is the 3G capabilities of the S630. This allows for ultra-fast data transfers from almost anywhere in the world, and this technology is becoming a must-have for traveling professionals as well as anyone looking for the fastest data transfer possible. The S630 is a fully capable smart phone which may prove to be excellent competition for other smart phones out there, including the iPhone and the newest RIM BlackBerry.
