HTC Athena Advantage X7501 - Features

    Features

As I've previously mentioned in this review, this device is loaded with nice features. Let's start with the software that HTC has used in this device. HTC went with Windows Mobile 6 Professional Edition in the X7501, which is the most current operating system available on the market. This software includes Excel, PowerPoint, and Word programs, as well as the ability to read PDF files with Adobe Reader LE. This device will exceed the capabilities of most, if not all, smart phones currently available. It also has all of the capabilities of any PDA on the market today.

The X7501 is probably the most powerful all-in-one mobile device on the market today. It boasts a 624 MHz processor with an 8 GB hard drive, 256 MB of ROM, and 128MB of RAM. The microSD slot can also add to the memory capabilities of this device, giving the X7501 seemingly endless amounts of memory.

The X7501 offers an array of wireless options including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and 3G.  This wide range of wireless options ensures that you will always have a connection to the Internet no matter where you might be in the world. The cell phone is a quadband GSM as well, which will give the user cell phone access from almost anywhere in the world. Calls may also be placed with the Internet connection using services such as Skype. I think you get the picture; you are almost always connected with this device no matter where you are in the world.

We have already established that the Advantage X7501 is a mini laptop, cell phone, and PDA, but it is more than that.  This device comes fully equipped as a GPS receiver with a built-in SirRFStarIII GPS receiver. This may be used with any GPS software to get turn-by-turn directions from anywhere in the world.

Another use of the X7501 is as a digital camera. This device comes equipped with a 3 mega-pixel camera with flash and autofocus. The camera works very well and is the best one that I've seen in any smart phone device. The camera offers some nice features such as white balance adjustment and a light that can be turned on to help take better night photos. The camera also takes nice 640 x 480 resolution videos.

There are countless other features built into this device, such as VueFLO. This feature will automatically scroll web pages for you just by tipping the device forward or backward.

The HTC Athena Advantage X7501 comes well-equipped with the following
    items:

    • AC Adapter
    • USB Cable
    • VGA Cable
    • Protective Leather Case
    • 2 Styli Wired Headset
    • Warranty Card and Reference Material
