HP iPAQ RX3100 - Use and Software continued

Along with Nevo software, it also includes some other multimedia applications. This next application is called iPAQ Mobile Media. I keep all my media on a media center/server PC and I have gigabytes of stuff. I was looking for a quick way to stream media to my RX3100. I was able to mount and stream media via a third party application, but it took up space and wasn't the best technique. I decided to see what this program did and was very happy. This does all I want and more. You can easily stream media and copy media over to the RX3100. It's a very handy application for those who keep their media on a separate PC.

The other applications included in this device don't dazzle as these did. There is an iTask application that just seems to be a shortcut to an application launcher. I don't have a great need for a program like this. The other included application is a backup program, which is nice to have. I plan on keeping some important files and data on my pocket PC and want to make sure I will always have it. Overall, I feel that the bundled applications included with the RX3100 make this PDA one of the best I have seen for the home user.

    Conclusion

The HP iPAQ RX3100 hits the nail on the head. This is a well rounded device and is a must have for people that want an entertainment-geared pocket PC. The hardware is decent in this device. It would have surely been a great benefit to have a faster CPU and more memory, but sacrifices had to be made.

Keeping Bluetooth and Wi-Fi in this device really hit a home run with me. The wireless connectivity is what really separates the different levels of pocket PCs. Without an Internet connection, it is nothing more than an electronic organizer.

The applications that come included with the RX3100 fit right into my plans for the device. I was very surprised with the software. Overall, I highly recommend the HP iPAQ RX3100 for anyone. I quickly found myself using it more and more; and who knows what this device will do next. I want to thank you for reading my review of the iPAQ RX3100.
