Creative Zen Vision Review - Audio Performance
(Page 4 of 4 )
As has become standard with most Creative products in the past, the Zen Vision:M provides excellent audio playback, thanks to its 97dB signal-to-noise-ratio. In other words, you can blast your Vision:M as loud as you like without extra distortion. One feature that definitely comes in handy in saving the eardrums is the Smart Volume option, which keeps the volume at an equal level across different tracks.
The bass boost feature was particularly useful when an extra "kick" was needed. The player also features eight equalizer presets and a five-band custom setting. The FM radio tuner provided crystal clear quality, with powerful reception indoors even when going into a basement.
The Vision:M boasts several audio features to maximize your musical experience and escape monotony. Creative provides on-device playlist creation and the ability to create up to ten bookmarks. Users also have the luxury of selecting an Album of the Day and Random Play All.
The Zen Vision:M even gives the option of playing the Most Popular or Rarely Heard tracks in a loop. The Lookup Artist feature comes in handy for those hard to find songs on the player. Another new and welcome addition to the Zen series is album art, which is automatically downloaded when you sync.
For those who dare to stray off the beaten path, the Creative Zen Vision:M is the perfect choice. Although not as well known at the iPod, the Vision:M clearly holds its own against the competition with superior video quality and a plethora of features.
