MP3 players were certainly one of the most popular consumer electronicspurchased over the holidays, but shopping for the perfect MP3 playercan be one of the hardest tasks one could endure. Although it’s alittle late for the holidays, we’re going to be taking a look at theCreative Nomad Muvo Mix, a 256MB flash-based MP3 player.

    Introduction

The hardest thing about MP3 player shopping is picking out the rightMP3 player for the right person. There are basically 2 types of MP3players on the market: solid state MP3 players and hard drive based MP3players. Depending on the consumers needs, one of these types of MP3players will be the best deal.

Solid state MP3 players typically have a smaller storage space anduse flash memory. These are great for people who have a small musiccollection, or want something ultra portable. Not only are they small, they also have no moving parts. They're great for people on the move.

Hard drive based MP3 players have massive storage space. These areperfect for people who have an extensive music collection and want totake their entire collection with them everywhere. Normally larger insize than flash players, hard drive based MP3 players have notebookhard drives built into the player. Of course, these have moving partsand are significantly heavier. They are built more for capacity thanportability.

Current generation MP3 players allow you to use them as portable USBstorage drives, as well as an MP3 player. The solid state players, forthe most part, can be used like flash drives where you can simply plugthem into the computers USB port and save or copy data from onecomputer to another, the hard drive based players normally have to usea USB cable to connect and use software to transfer data.

Today we are taking a look at the Creative Nomad Muvo Mix, a 256MBflash based MP3 player which offers ease of use and the ability to takemusic wherever you go. The Creative Muvo is on of the most popular MP3players, with many accessories for portability available, it iscertainly one of the best buys.
