The Casio G'zOne Brigade is one tough phone. Built to military specifications to withstand severe elements, the Brigade is aimed at those who work in the field or those who are in the outdoors often. Other than durability, the Brigade also offers a full feature set that covers everything from work to entertainment. The Brigade is available for $250 after rebates and a two-year service agreement with Verizon.
The basic features of the G'zOne Brigade include a speakerphone, a calculator, a stopwatch, a countdown timer, an alarm clock, and even a flashlight. To help you keep organized there is a calendar and a notepad. If you travel overseas a lot or do business with international clients, the phone has a world clock that can be useful.
The Brigade's phone book can hold up to 500 contacts. For each contact you can input multiple phone numbers, email addresses, a street address, and more. You can sort your contacts into different groups and allocate a photo and ringtone for each.
If the 20 polyphonic ringtones that come with the phone are not your style, you can download more from Verizon. You can also download wallpapers and themes from the carrier to customize the phone even further.
Moving up the features ladder of the G'zOne Brigade we find that the phone is Bluetooth-enabled. Various profiles are supported such as stereo headsets, hands-free car kits, object push, file transfer, dial-up networking, and more.
If you are on the road a lot for work or pleasure, the phone's integrated GPS should be a great help. When paired with the VZ Navigator service, you can use the Brigade to get local information as well as turn-by-turn directions. The GPS also works with the Family Locator service in case you want to keep tabs on your loved ones. The Brigade also supports voice commands and USB mass storage. You can also sync the phone to your personal computer.
