The Blackberry Curve 8530 is a new smartphone for Sprint customers. Packed with plenty of features for work and play, it should satisfy a wide demographic. You can pick up the Curve 8530 for just $49.99 after rebates and a two-year contract from Sprint.
The standard phone features on the Curve 8530 include a speakerphone, a vibrate mode, an alarm clock, and a calculator. To help keep you on top of things, it has an organizer that includes a calendar, a task list, and a memo pad. Another organizational option is to sync the 8530 to your computer's calendar and organizer using Blackberry Desktop software. A voice recorder is on board as well, in case you want to record any important thoughts that pop into your head.
You can store a large volume of contacts in the phone book and input several phone numbers, email addresses, notes, and more for each. Contacts can be organized into separate groups and also be allocated a photo and ringtone. If you aren't satisfied with the 32 polyphonic ringtones that come on the 8530, you can download more. Also available for download are wallpapers and the like to further customize the smartphone.
The 8530 also comes in the box with an AC charger, a USB cable, and a 2 GB microSD card, although the phone can support microSD cards up to 32 GB in capacity. The 8530 has 256 MB of flash memory also.
