Blackberry 8830 Review
Research in Motion's Blackberry has been around for a while now, and they have a lot of loyal fans. I don't think that these fans will be disappointed with the new Blackberry model. Today we'll take a look at the Blackberry 8830 and see how well it keeps its users connected.
The new RIM Blackberry 8830 "Cyclone" was released in the summer of 2007. This smart phone is being offered by Sprint or Verizon, and it will cost right around $200 with a service agreement from either company. This is not too bad of a price for this solid multimedia device.

I would like to say, right off the bat, that this smart phone may not be for everyone. The reason that I say that is because this device is mainly designed for the traveling businessman or woman who goes overseas. One of the main features of this device is that it supports both CDMA and GSM networks which the phone automatically detects and switches when needed. What this means is that you will be able to get service while in Europe, or other areas, while traveling overseas.
For some people, this feature is much needed and will help immensely, while others may not ever need this kind of capability in a smart phone. I would like to add that you will incur roaming charges while using the GSM network overseas, and it can get quite expensive. These charges will depend upon the type of service you are getting with your service provider.
The 8830 does bring a lot to the table, in terms of features and usability, as most Blackberry models have in the past. This smart phone does, however, lack a built-in digital camera which is pretty standard to have on smart phones nowadays. This may be a deal breaker for some people who like to have cell phone camera on hand at all times. Personally, I never have been a huge fan of cell phone cameras because of the low quality.
