Asus MyPal A716 PDA Review - Overview
Included in the package is the PDA itself, the cradle, the power cord and inverter cord, the USB cord, and there is also the nice black carrying case(not pictured).

The information package includes a copy of Pocket PC 2003 Premium with Outlook 2002, a bonus software disk, a warranty sheet, a quickstart guide, and a very well written and illustrated user's manual.

The design of the A716 is pretty standard as far as layout goes. Below the 3.5" LCD screen, which supports over 65k colors, are four programmable buttons which surround a directional pad and a small speaker is just off to the left.

Above the screen's top right corner is the power button, which is slightly recessed in order to prevent accidental power up which could lead to an unexpected dead battery. Above the power button is a small strip of clear plastic with two LED's behind it. A blue LED will indicate when WiFi or Bluetooth is working, and a green one will indicate when it's charging (blinks) and when the battery is full (solid).
On the bottom is the port that connects the PDA to the cradle or directly to the PC via the included USB wire. Also on the right hand side are the small microphone openings.

All kinds of stuff on the left side, including (from left to right) an enter button, connected up and down scroll buttons, a soft-reset switch(accessible with stylus), the Infrared or IR port, and a battery lock switch (the unit will not power up unless the battery is in and the switch locked).

A few very important things are located on the top such as the headphone jack, SD card slot, CF card slot, the stylus, and of course the wireless antenna.

Above you can see the right which only has the AC power jack and to the far right you can see the stylus pulled half way out.
Lastly, this shows the back of the A716:

With the battery removed it's easy to see the small switch that allows you to turn on or off the internal backup battery. Turning it off will reset the machine to its defaults and erase all personal data. The stylus is nothing special but the look and feel go well with this MyPal.
