Apple Updates iPods
For many consumers, buying an MP3 player means buying an iPod. So Apple generated a lot of excitement with their recent "event," unveiling a redesign of the iPod line. In this article we'll take a close look at the hot new players.
Apple has revolutionized the world with its iPod music player. It has changed both the consumer markets and Apple itself. It fluffed up Apple’s bank account with lots of money. Many people shopping for an MP3 player now think of an iPod as their first choice.
The iPod isn't the only MP3 player in the world. Many have tried to match Apple, but no one has caught up; many have tried, but few are near where Apple has come to be. The original iPods came in 5 and 10 GB flavors and were bulky by today’s standards. The product has come a long way since then.
Apple has continued to redesign and reinvent the iPod. Apple has recently released the sixth generation iPod, and also updated the Shuffle and Nano. Let’s explore these new changes and consider what we might see in the seventh generation iPod.
iPod Shuffles

There's not that much new in the Shuffle part of the line. These players are merely getting some nice new color options. If you want to get a Shuffle, for a limited time you can chose from all the first and second generation colors. If you like the older colors, buy one soon, before they vanish from the market.
I think the design itself is nearly perfect; I don’t see Apple doing much until demand dies down for the Shuffle. We could eventually see more space and different colors, but nothing dramatic soon. I overall enjoy the design, and am trying not to buy one since I have plenty of MP3 players around my house.
