Use WaveSecure to keep your smartphone protected
Unless you've been hiding under a rock, you have probably heard plenty of news regarding the growing presence of malware, viruses, and more. As hackers increase their efforts to steal your personal data, keeping yourself protected is a task that should be a the top of your priorities.
Your smartphone is probably a very important device in terms of the data it holds. You may use it to store personal info, work data, account information, and many other sensitive items. The fact that it likely contains such data makes it a great target for thieves and hackers alike. Luckily, there's an app like WaveSecure that does its best to keep your smartphone's security at a high level.
WaveSecure comes loaded with protective features, and costs $19.90 for a one-year subscription. Once downloaded, you can backup data directly on your phone or remotely using the Internet. WaveSecure provides a safe haven for your call logs, messages, photos, videos, and contacts directly on its site. If you ever need it, the app can restore data that was stored online back onto your phone.
Perhaps the most important feature of the app is that it allows you to track and locate your phone should it get lost or stolen. If someone tries to put a new SIM card in your phone, it will automatically lock. You can also choose to display a message to the thief or finder of the phone and prevent them from uninstalling the program. If you cannot locate the phone for some reason, you also have the option to delete all the data from it remotely.
Secure your passwords using LastPass
Having a ton of passwords or logins to remember can be a real hassle. You may mix them up among accounts or sites or forget them, depending on how many different ones you have. The LastPass app helps manage all of your passwords to give you peace of mind.
The LastPass Premium version costs $1 per month. It has automatic form filling built in to help you save time when signing up on different services or sites across the web. LastPass has its own built-in browser that will fill in your login data automatically on any site you have saved within the app. When necessary, you can update, add, or delete sites, as well as any secure notes.
LastPass will sync your passwords and login data between your smartphone and PC, and it will work with all major browsers that you may use on your computer. To access all of your passwords, all you need is one master password to enter the app, and you are all set. So, if you have more passwords than you can remember and want to have access to them wherever you are with one easy login, LastPass may be just what you need.
