ATandT LG Incite Cell Phone - Features

The LG Incite offers a medley of features, including: landscaping modes, haptic feedback, a high resolution, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Bluetooth, a three-megapixel camera, media player, Wi-Fi, voice-based commands, instant messaging and organizing tools.

    Landscaping Modes

Two basic modes are available with the LG Incite: Portrait and Landscape. Portrait is the default setting. It gives a vertical display of your screen. Landscape does the opposite, as it displays the screen horizontally. Either way, to establish these modes, you can use the phone’s manual settings, or you could turn it towards that orientation. The Incite’s accelerometer will take things from there.

    Haptic Feedback

Haptic feedback causes the touch screen to vibrate every time you select a key. This gives you the feeling that you’re touching a "physical" button.

    High Resolution

The AT&T LG Incite has a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels, which is very good for a cell phone. So, when graphics get displayed, they are crisp, clear and colorful.

    Microsoft Outlook

The LG Incite comes with a mobile version of Outlook that lets you store unlimited information. The only limit is how much you can store in each section (as each contact comes with 40 data fields).

    Microsoft Office

The Incite features a mobile version of the Office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. These programs offer no limitations; they are just like their PC-oriented counterparts. And, when you’re finished creating a document, you can email it straight from the Incite, eliminating the need for a PC connection.

    Bluetooth

With the Incite’s Bluetooth feature, users have the ability to connect with other devices wirelessly. This comes in handy if you want hands-free phone calls or if you want to use the device with Bluetooth speakers.

    Three-Megapixel Camera

The Incite’s three-megapixel camera, located at the back of the device, is pretty impressive, especially for a cell phone camera. It comes with five different resolutions, including 1600 x 1200 (the default setting), 2048 x 1536, 230 x 420, 640 x 480 and 1024 x 768. You can use these resolutions with the camera’s 2x zooming feature, for capturing those faraway shots. You can also use the camera to create video clips.

    Media Player

The LG Incite allows you to use Windows Media to play video and music files. Your only limitation is the size of your SD card.

    Wi-Fi

If you don’t feel like connecting to the Internet through the 3G network (which is automatically supplied with the LG Incite), you have the option of connecting through Wi-Fi. This allows for much faster Internet browsing, especially if the Wi-Fi is coming from a cable connection.

    Voice-Based Commands

With LG Incite’s speech synthesis capabilities, you can use your voice to activate basic commands on your cell phone. This also includes voice-based dialing and voice-recorded memos.

    Instant Messaging

Yahoo, AOL and Windows Live are the three instant messaging services that are already integrated into the AT&T LG Incite.

    Organizing Tools

Like any other good smart phone, the AT&T LG Incite possesses a suite of organizational tools that will keep your schedule on track. These tools include a task list, a calculator, a notepad, a stop watch, a calendar and finally, an alarm clock.
