ATandT LG Incite Cell Phone - Design
The AT&T LG Incite uses a basic yet classy color scheme. The front of the phone is colored while the back and the sides are colored silver. Basically, the Incite is a great choice for those who don’t like flashy, overly colorful electronics.
In terms of dimensions, the LG Incite measures 4.21 inches long and 2.2 inches wide. The thickness is 0.55 inches. So, while the device isn’t excessively bulky, it’s a little bigger than your average cell phone. But don’t worry… it’s still portable enough to fit in your hand or pants pocket. It is also extremely lightweight as it only weighs 4.23 ounces.
As far as layout, since the majority of interactions take place on a three-inch touch screen, any physical buttons on the Incite relate to the phone’s general operation. For example, on the bottom of the phone there are two buttons with a telephone icon. The button on the left side is used to hang up the phone, while the button on the right side powers the device on or off.
On the left side of the phone, there is a USB port followed by a volume control. On the right side of the phone, there is a camera button, a lock/unlock button, a micro SD card and a scrolling button (for Internet browsing). There is also a section where you can attach the stylus, which comes in a small case.
In other words, the LG Incite’s design is pretty basic for touch screen phones. However, it does possess a major flaw. Unlike other smart phones, the LG Incite does not contain a built-in QWERTY keyboard. Instead, you must use a touch-screen keyboard to enter in your text. You can also use cursive handwriting, if you prefer a more genuine PDA experience. Either way, it still would have been nice to at least have the option to use a physical keyboard (despite the niftiness of the touch screen version).
