OCZ Platinum Edition PC2-4200 EB (Page 1 of 5 )
When one thinks of DDR2, the first thing that springs to mind is high bandwidth but poor latencies. Those more experienced with DDR2 know that of many ICs in particular, Micron’s
Fatbody D9 are capable of much tighter latencies than even the tightest DDR. Today we’ll be having a look at OCZ’s new
Platinum edition PC2-4200.

The RAM in their packaging
So what sets this memory apart from the rest? This memory is based on Micron’s Fatbody D9 chip, probably the only chips on the market capable of doing this memory’s incredibly tight rated timings of 3-2-2-8, albeit only at 533MHz.
