Crucial PC3200 Memory Review - SiSoft SANDRA 2004

    SiSoft SANDRA 2004

SiSoft SANDRA is a diagnostic, benchmarking, and information suite for Windows. It contains some synthetic benchmarks that are commonly used in performance testing of CPUs and memory, as well as some other miscellaneous benchmarks for other components of a computer.

    Crucial PC3200 - SiSoft Sandra

Here, the SANDRA tests show a small lead of 1% for the Infineon RAM over the Crucial. Experimental error could throw this test either way. The single stick of Infineon RAM, however, clearly gets left behind, where the Crucial RAM has a 25% lead over it.

    PiFast

PiFast is a program designed to calculate pi with lots of precision - up to several million digits if necessary - extremely quickly.  I used the Chudnovsky method in standard mode and a 1024K FFT to calculate 10 million digits of pi.

    Crucial PC3200 - PiFast

The Crucial RAM here performs well, falling only 0.8 seconds behind the Infineon RAM. Again, a single stick of 512 MB Infineon RAM gets killed, clocking in at 58.80 seconds.
