XG Laser 2500 Review - Installation and set up
(Page 3 of 5 )

Here's the installation screen you see when you are installing the software for controlling the mouse.

As you can see, not only can you configure each individual mouse button with commands, but you can even program the mouse to work with either your right or your left hand. Also, if you have a slightly itchy trigger finger, you can set the double click speeds so you can try and get as many shots in as possible.
The DPIs

As you can see the scroll button changes color to indicate the mouse's DPI setting. I included pics of the default (600 DPI), 800 DPI (blue), and 1200 DPI (yellow) settings. When you go to the two last settings, 2000 DPI and 2500 DP, they use a combination of colors that flash back and forth (orange/yellow and green/yellow respectively).

Here is another close up of the mouse showing off the buttons. As you saw earlier, buttons 4 and 5 are completely programmable to whatever commands you would like to assign to them. The DPI shifter button allows you to go from 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 2000, and 2500 DPI and then back to 600 again. The scroll button works as usual with the added functionality of letting the user know the mouse's DPI setting by the color it is showing.
