Logitech V200 Wireless Mouse - Final Thoughts

    Gaming

I tested the V200 against two games (mostly because I already have them on the computer): Diablo II and Minesweeper.  Diablo did not recognize the left and right scroll with either game detect on or off -- as I said earlier, it's not a really terrible thing, but something of note.  Now, this is by no means a high-quality gaming mouse anyway -- no steel return springs or real hinges, and extended sessions of play result in noisy clicking as the plastic warms up with use (I liken the noise to valve-lash on an old engine, but maybe that's just me.)

Some gamers have taken issue with Logitech cordless mice having lag, but I haven't heard anyone specifically mention the V200.

    Conclusion

If you are a serious gamer who can't chance any lag or unrecorded movements, then maybe this isn't the mouse for you.  Then again, if you are such, then you will be willing to spend a little more money for a specialty gaming device.

But for Joe Average road-warrior or Harvey House-husband surfing the 'net from the sofa, here's a full-sized mouse that performs well with the possible exception of extremely close quarters (so you might want to leave it in the case when trying to compute from an airline seat).
