    Belkin Wireless Keyboard - Conclusion

So, summation time. Let's go over the pros and cons one last time:

    Pros

    • Bulletproof construction (nothing that couldn't be fixed with some duct tape)
    • Idiotproof operation (after initial setup)

    • Fits in jacket pockets

    • Long battery life compared to Bluetooth keyboards

    Cons

    • Initially figuring out how to get two devices to line up is very tricky

    • Can't type while PDA and keyboard are in any old position

    • Keys are close together and short

There you have it. If your mobile device lacks Bluetooth, your options are essentially limited to IR unless, as with some HP/Compaq models, there is a plugin keyboard or USB host and you feel like carrying around a full size keyboard. If IR is the only way to go, I have no issues recommending this one from Belkin.

If you can use and afford a BT one though, I would recommend looking into that instead just for the ease of using it while not needing a desk or other flat place to put both devices.  Feel free to shoot me an email if you have any questions, otherwise head back to the front page for some other news and reviews or check out the forums!
