Occasionally, during setup you will be required to answer a few simple questions that will be very self-explanatory and the process should look something like this:
On the left of the screen there is a progress bar, which tells you where your computer is in the setup process as well as the estimated time left. Here I am being asked if I want to keep the default Region and Language setting, which is English [United States] but can be changed to just about any area of the world. A few other questions need to be answered as well as your personal info but everything is self-explanatory.
As far as what software you need right away I would consider some type of anti-virus protection such as Norton Anti-Virus which should be installed before you connect your computer to the internet, and a few new games to test out your new hardware wouldn't hurt either. Don't forget to go immediately to Windows Update on the Internet and install all of the critical updates it detects for you. Have fun and don't forget to pass on the knowledge.
That about does it for the upgrade. Just follow the setup prompts and you'll have yourself a zippy little rig in no time at all. If you have any questions feel free to stop in our forums for answers on pretty much anything computer related, or if you would like to ask me something directly you can just click here and send me an email.
