The television basically offers everything that the average consumer could want: a large 42" screen, High Definition technology, and the remarkably small and light construction that has become associated with plasma technology. All in all, if you are looking for a cheap high-tech television, you have to get in your car and go to Wal-mart right now to pick up a VP422.
On the down side, the VP422 has received almost deplorable ratings in the category of video quality. CNet claims that this 42" plasma TV will be an extreme disappointment to anyone who considers themselves a videophile. Other than the poor picture quality associated with the display, it also is somewhat lacking in the field of extra features. Of course, you would expect that sort of shortfall from such an inexpensive product, but the weakness still exists.
