The ViewSonic VP2365wb and Dell UltraSharp U2410 - UltraSharp Design

The design of the Dell UltraSharp U2410 is excellent. Aesthetically, the monitor is pretty basic with a matte black finish that coats its 0.75 inch thick bezel and most of its exterior, with the exception of some gray accents thrown in on the sides and neck of the stand to spice things up a bit. The display itself also has a matte finish to help combat glare in bright environments. The monitorís settings controls are located on the bottom right corner of the bezel and are easy to use in conjunction with its OSD.

Minus the stand, the UltraSharp U2410 measures 3.25 inches thick and can be easily mounted to a wall.

If you prefer to use the monitor with its stand, you get plenty of viewing flexibility. The rectangular stand is very sturdy and does a good job of counteracting sudden bumps or movements. You can adjust the monitorís height by more than three inches using the stand. You can also tilt it back 25 degrees, swivel it 70 degrees either way, and pivot it into portrait mode.

Connectivity on the UltraSharp U2410 is terrific and conveniently placed. On the back left side of the panel you get two USB downstream ports and a media card reader. On the back panel facing downward you get an HDMI port, two DVI ports, a VGA port, a DisplayPort, component and composite video inputs, an audio out port, two more USB downstream ports, and one USB upstream port.

The Dell UltraSharp is a superb monitor. The performance is great and so are the host of adjustable settings. Its connectivity is hard to beat, and the same can be said for its ergonomic features. The $600 price tag could scare many off, but for those who really value a solid monitor, it might be well worth it.
