The ViewSonic VP2365wb and Dell UltraSharp U2410 - ViewSonic Appearance and Connectivity
(Page 2 of 4 )
The look of the ViewSonic VP2365wb is pretty basic and plastic-like. The 0.7-inch thick bezel and the monitor’s remaining exterior have a black matte finish. While the matte finish is good at preventing fingerprints and smudges, it gives the monitor more of a “budget” look.
The 23-inch display also has a matte finish, which is a more welcome feature, as it does a good job against glare. The OSD controls are conveniently located in the middle of the bottom bezel for easy access.
The monitor measures 2.6-inches thick from front to back, and can be mounted to a wall. If you choose not to mount it, which would be smart, you can make use of the VP2365wb’s excellent ergonomics. Used in its regular mode, the monitor sits on a circular stand. You can adjust the monitor’s height by 5.3 inches.
Unfortunately, when you maximize it’s height, it will tend to wobble easily, so take extra precaution if you choose to do so. The monitor can swivel an entire 360 degrees on the stand, and can also be tilted up to 20 degrees backward. You can also position the monitor all the way into portrait mode for your convenience.
Connectivity on the ViewSonic VP2365wb is pretty standard. All of the connections are intelligently placed on the back of the monitor facing downward, so they will not bulge out and cause interference if you mount it to a wall. The lack of an HDMI port is disappointing, but you do get DVI and VGA ports. You also get four USB 2.0 downstream ports and a single upstream one.
The ViewSonic VP2365wb has both its good and its bad. The ergonomics are excellent, and so are the wide viewing angles. On the other hand, there is no HDMI port, and the low brightness can provide for some dull viewing. With that said, you may want to shop around first before committing your hard-earned money to the VP2365wb.
