    Samsung SyncMaster 940BW

I know a lot of you out there are still using those clunky old CRT monitors.  For a long time, the flat panel monitors were priced out of reach for the every day consumer, but that isn’t so anymore. Today, we are taking a look at Samsung’s new SyncMaster 940BW, which is a 19 inch widescreen LCD monitor, priced quite affordably.

It used to be that even a small 15 inch LCD monitor would cost you an easy $500-$600, just to consider it. But the technology is finally becoming affordable enough for the everyday consumer. You almost cannot buy a new machine right now without a flat panel LCD being included as part of the package. And those of us with CRTs who want to move into the current day and age no longer have to cough up a much-coveted appendage to purchase our very own flat panel LCD monitor.

I received notice from Samsung a few weeks ago; they told me about their new widescreen monitors. I just knew we'd need to get one in here for review. I mean, LCD, 19 inch, and widescreen format? What's not to love?

Before we open the box and take a look at this monitor ourselves, let's first check out the published features and specifications.
