The picture quality of this monitor is among the best in its class. The sharpness of the picture is great thanks to the 1680 x 1050 resolution and its TFT technology which makes each pixel operate at its best. The 226 BW also brings out the fine detail in the picture thanks to the amazing 3000:1 contrast ratio.

Colors are extremely accurate in this flat panel in large part because of the MagicColor and MagicBright 3 technologies. The main purpose of these features is to accurately reproduce the over 16 million colors available in the monitor. These features also allow the user to select from a variety of brightness modes which include text, Internet, game, sports, movie, and print view. The choices are great and allow the user to easily adjust to different situations to set the brightness levels to just the right level. A great use of this is when viewing the computer screen in the dark, where brightness can be turned down a bit to avoid eye-strain.
What's also great about the included stand with the 226 BW is that it is capable of a 160 degree viewing angle. This is easily adjustable and can help the user get the best view of the screen possible to help enjoy the beautiful colors and fast performance of this monitor.
When it comes to input connections, this monitor accepts both analog and digital video signals. The DVI-D connection will produce the HD resolution that so many people desire today. You may also use a standard connection, if HD does not mean much to you. The DVI-D connection is excellent for gaming and for watching movies, because it will give you the highest quality picture.
Included in the box with your purchase of the Samsung 226 BW is the following:
This will give you everything you need to plug in the monitor and begin use. Additional accessories you may want to consider include a new stand and platform which will reach higher and will adjust easier than the included one, and a wall mount kit if desired.
