Samsung LN46A750 Television - Connectivity
(Page 3 of 4 )
There are plenty of connectivity options on the LN46A750, as you would expect from a LCD with its price tag. There are four total HDMI inputs, with three located on the back and one on the side in a recessed bay. The recessed bay also houses a USB port, headphone jack, and an AV input with S Video and composite video. The LN46A750 also comes with two more component video inputs, an RF input for cable and antenna, and a VGA style RGB input for computer connectivity that supports 1,920 x 1,080 resolution. There is also an Ethernet port that enables the LN46A750’s interactivity features.
The glossy black remote control that comes with the Samsung LN46A750 is definitely not a strong point. Although it has backlighting and large buttons, its navigational tool is a click wheel, and not your typical directional buttons that many are accustomed to when it comes to television remotes. The clickable wheel is similar to that found on an iPod.
The major problem and annoyance with the wheel is that it is not responsive, and many times there is a lag between your finger movements and the cursor movements on the screen. Samsung should have addressed this issue, as it can definitely cause some frustration when going through the menus and options.

The menus on the Samsung LN46A750 are intuitive, very easy to use, and some of the best in its class. The font and text size of the menus makes them easy to read from far distances. As you navigate through the menus, there is text on the bottom that explains each highlighted feature, and this adds to the relative ease and small learning curve associated with menu navigation on the LN46A750. The menus also incorporate a product guide that list the bevy of features that come with the LN46A750. You will rarely have to consult your user’s manual thanks to the intelligent design of the LN46A750’s menus.
