The design of the Samsung LN46A750 is sleek and modern. Its 46-inch screen is surrounded by a glossy black frame that is highlighted with a tinge of red. While some may not be too fond of the red around the frame, others will welcome it, as it does seem to give the television a sort of an “edge.” Of course, if you are very picky in terms of your interior decorating, the LN46A750’s red frame may not fit in well with your home, so this could detract from the television’s design.
I personally believe it adds some originality to the unit itself and spices it up a bit, unlike most other units that are completely black or gray. As of now, red is the only available color for the LN46A750, but it would be nice if Samsung offered more options in the future, although this may not be cost effective for the manufacturer to produce.
The frame of the Samsung LN46A750 is topped by a clear plastic surface that gives it a rather shiny look, but can prove to be an annoyance at times. If you like to watch your television in the dark, you may disapprove of the plastic covering the frame, as it tends to almost leak brightness into the frame itself if there is a particularly bright picture on the television.
The Samsung LN46A750 measures 46.1 inches wide by 28 inches tall by 3.9 inches deep and weighs in at 64.8 pounds. These measurements include the stand as well. In comparison to other LCDs in its class, the LN46A750 may seem a bit bulky due to its thick frame encompassed by the clear plastic covering.
The stand that supports the unit does not swivel. This is not a huge deal, but it definitely would have been a convenient and modern touch to have swiveling capability with the set.
