Samsung LD220G and Mag Innovision GML2226 - Mag Innovision GML2226 monitor

Shoppers looking to save money may find the Mag Innovision GML2226 monitor on their list of competitors in the budget monitor market.  This 21.5-inch device combines rather dull design with some satisfactory performance.  The Innovision GML2226 is available for around $180 or lower and comes with a three-year warranty on parts and labor from the manufacturer.

    The Innovision GML2226's 21.5-inch display has a 1,920x1,080 resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio.

It has decent overall performance, especially when you consider that it is a budget monitor.  Movies experience good black levels and solid color accuracy.  Games also look good on the GML2226, with colors that seem to jump off the screen and help to make the gaming experience more enjoyable.

The on-screen display, or OSD, offers a good number of adjustable settings to tweak the GML2226's picture.  Preset modes that are available include Night, Scenery, Theater, Game, and Dynamic Contrast.  Changing from preset to preset adjusts the monitor's brightness and color temperature automatically.

Besides the presets, you can adjust picture quality via brightness, contrast, and color tone.  Color tone offers three options for you to choose from: Cool, Native, Warm, or sRGB.  Finally, you can also adjust the monitor's red, green, and blue levels manually.
