NEC Accusync LCD193wxm Flat Panel Review - Features
(Page 3 of 5 )
When it comes to features, it may be what the LCD193wxm does not have which may affect sales more than what the LCD193wxm does have. This flat panel does lack HDCP compliance, which may be a deal-breaker for some people. Competing models do offer HDCP compliance for about the same price. Another missing feature in this flat panel is NEC's Naviset, which allows the user to control all of the display settings via an intuitive graphical interface with the mouse and keyboard. Naviset will also allow remote access to your display settings so that IT professionals can adjust your display settings from a different computer. Naviset is available in the other Accusync models, but not available in this one. I would have liked NEC to integrate the HDCP compliance and the Naviset into this flat panel, but I guess they had to draw the line somewhere in order to keep the retail price of the LCD193wxm low.
This flat panel does have a good set of features, some of which are impressive for its price range. NEC has implemented their XtraView wide-angle technology into this flat panel, which allows for wide-screen viewing. This technology will allow the user to run two applications at the same time on the same screen, side-by-side. This is a great feature to have for multi-taskers, or for students working on research papers for school.
NEC has implemented their rapid response technology into the LCD193wxm, which helps speed up performance and give an overall better viewing experience. NEC has also added their Ambix connectivity to this flat panel, giving the user the option for digital or analog connectivity.
The Accusync LCD193wxm comes fully equipped with the following items straight from the box:
- LCD193WXM-BK LCD Monitor
- User Manual
- VGA Cable
- Power Cable
- Audio Cable
- 3-year warranty
The flat panel's features are relatively basic, which will be a plus for new flat panel owners. The low amount of features help to keep the ease of use of this flat panel very high, and yet doesn't hurt the performance and quality of this monitor very much at all.
