NEC Accusync LCD193wxm Flat Panel Review
It wasn't so long ago that flat panel monitors were only for those willing to burn real money on them, but that has changed. They're still pricey, of course, but you don't have to starve yourself for three months to afford one anymore. Today we're reviewing a flat panel for the somewhat more budget conscious, the NEC Accusync LCD 193wxm, to see if we get more than our money's worth.
NEC is a company that has been in the electronics business for over 100 years now, so they know what they are doing when they produce a new product. Since their first computer, produced back in 1958, NEC has been one of the most innovative computer technology-related companies in the world. They have produced LCD flat panels which range in size from 15 inches all the way up to 57 inches and in a wide range of price ranges. One of their newest flat panel computer monitors could definitely be classified as one of their budget models. This new 19 inch flat panel model is the NEC Accusync LCD 193wxm, and it was released in the spring of 2007.
The reason that I call this monitor a budget model is because you can pick one of these flat panels up for under $200. I've seen the price as low as $180 as of
this time of this writing. The price of this entry-level flat panel is one of its biggest assets, because it is a somewhat basic model. This monitor will not overwhelm you with an abundance of features, but it is a very solid LCD monitor with good image quality and a price which puts it in almost anyone's price range.

Right off the bat, I will say that this monitor is not for someone who is a big-time
gamer, and it is not for someone looking for high definition capabilities. This flat panel would probably be okay for the causal gamer. NEC's main purpose with the creation of the LCD193wxm, was to draw new customers into buying their first flat panel LCD monitor, and this monitor is perfect for that purpose.
The CD193wxm is also seemingly perfect for business settings, with its good performance and low price. It may not impress the flat panel "gurus" out there, but for the average consumer, this flat panel may be just what they were looking for. Let's take a more in depth look into this flat panel.
