    LG Flatron L194WS 19 Wide LCD Monitor - Sales Package and First Impressions

    (Page 2 of 5 )

    First of all, I don’t really know whether my sales package was OEM or retail, but it’s rather irrelevant since it contained everything that it was supposed to and I also received three full years of warranty coverage. I acquired it for around €200 (Q1, 2008). Check out the picture of the package below. It shouldn’t really look fancy at all, if you already know what is inside…

    The sealed package contains the following components:

    Ø        LG Flatron L194WS – the monitor, of course;

    Ø        Official driver CD containing the multilingual user guides in digital format;

    Ø        Multilingual user guides in printed format;

    Ø        1x D-SUB to D-SUB (VGA to VGA) connector;

    Ø        1x Power Plug (100-230V @ 50/60Hz).

    As you can see from the picture above, the monitor looks quite pretty, neat, and is definitely striking. I, for one, dislike using the term sexy in any area that’s related to technology and IT&C, so let’s skip it, please. I know dozens of professionals in their field who enjoy tagging elegant and classy looking devices, gadgets, and components "sexy." It simply doesn’t fit appropriately.

    There are two possible color options – the first is silver/grayish, just like the one I have (above picture), while the second is black. Some claim the silver one looks unattractive, but I disagree. It looks professional enough for me. Colors are a personal taste, so just pick the one you like the most. It’s that simple.

    Check out the attached picture below. It’s the sticker on the back of the monitor. As you can see it was manufactured in September 2007 and it supports AC 100-240 V @ 50/60Hz 0.8A power. You can also notice the little TCO’03 low radiation award logo on the bottom left corner. It’s an LCD, so this is pretty much straightforward.

    Now that we all know how the monitor looks, I think the timing couldn’t be better for us to see the list of its exact specifications and a few side view pictures; all of this is on the next page.
