LG 32LH20 and Westinghouse SK-32H640G - Westinghouse Settings and Design

Advanced picture controls are also quite limited, with offerings for only color temperature and backlight adjustments. Another huge negative to the picture adjustments on the SK-32H640G is the fact that the slider settings have no numeric labeling, so you will need a photographic memory to remember where your settings were. This seems a bit archaic when you consider the settings available on competing entry-level LCDs.

Other available settings on the SK-32H640G include those for aspect ratio. You get four aspect ratio modes for standard sources, and four modes for high definition sources. The environmentally conscious will appreciate the energy saving modes, as well as the fact that the television exceeds Energy Star's compliance standards by twenty percent.

The design of the Westinghouse SK-32H640G is in line with many other entry-level LCDs, offering a glossy black bezel that is simple yet attractive. The television rests on a solid glossy black stand that does not swivel, unfortunately. The set is mountable to a wall and weighs 22.5 pounds.

The connectivity options on the SK-32H640G are pretty much the standard fare you would expect with an entry-level LCD. The left side panel houses an AV input with composite video for easy access. On the back panel you will find two HDMI ports, an RGB port for PC connections, an RF input, a component-video input, and an optical digital audio output.

Itís hard to recommend the Westinghouse SK-32H640G to shoppers with the need for an entry-level LCD. While its price is affordable, the picture lags behind the competition, and its picture settings are unimpressive, to say the least. You would be better served paying a bit more for a more refined television.
