High Tech Memories: Digital Picture Frame Review - Summing it up

This digital photo frame from ThinkGeek is in my opinion the perfect gift for someone’s desk.  It can be loaded with their favorite pictures of loved ones, pets, or whatever may tickle one’s fancy.

So now that I’ve put the frame through its paces, here are its pros and cons.

    Pros:

    • VERY easy to use.
    • Wireless remote control.
    • Auto slideshow.
    • Play MP3s while watching slideshow.
    • Decent price ($99 at the time of this writing).
    • Supports many removable media types.

    Cons:

    • Audio gets worse as you raise the volume.
    • Menu system not always intuitive.

Based on the above information, I give this frame an 8 on a scale on 1-10, and Dev Hardware’s recommended product award.

This isn’t the largest digital frame on the market, nor does it have the most features (Wi-Fi, anyone?), but for the price it does what it does, and does it well.

I'd like to thank ThinkGeek for supplying us with the 7 inch Digital Photo Frame for review.  If you would like more information about this product, visit ThinkGeek at http://www.thinkgeek.com

       · Best price Ive seen yet for a digital photo frame. And it works great, to boot.
