HP W2207 LCD Monitor - Features

The w2207 offers most of the features you would expect to find in a 22 inch flat panel for around $360. This monitor includes a DVI port on the rear of the panel which allows for HDCP (High Bandwidth Digital Content Protection). This will allow for UXGA and HDTV capabilities through the DVI port.

The various controls and screen adjustments are handled on-screen via the included software. It is very easy to adjust the contrast, brightness, color temperature, and so forth. There are also some preset settings which make it even easier to get the best picture possible based upon the lighting conditions.

The 22 inch widescreen offers the ability to run two applications side-by-side. This is great for many different applications, and it can save the time you'd normally spend minimizing one application in order to view another.  As I mentioned earlier, the monitor's portrait mode is also useful in that it allows the user to view web pages without having to scroll down quite as much.

The various connection capabilities of the w2207 are as follows:

    • 1 xVGA - 15 pin HD D-Sub (HD-15)
    • 1 xHi-Speed USB upstream - 4 pin USB Type A
    • 1 xHi-Speed USB downstream - 4 pin USB Type A
    • 1 xDVI-D

The included cables which come with the w2207 are as follows:

    • 1 x Audio cable
    • 1 x VGA cable - 6 ft
    • 1 x USB cable
    • 1 x DVI cable - 6 ft
    • 1 x Power cable - 6 ft

The w2207 is also very energy efficient. It has been rated to consume 65 watts of power while it is running, and 2 watts of power while on standby. This gives the w2207 the EPA Energy Star rating.
