HP W2207 LCD Monitor
Hewlett Packard is no slouch when it comes to producing high quality LCD flat panel monitors, and when they created the HP w2207 LCD monitor they lived up to this reputation. Today we're going to take a close look at the monitor and see what it can do.
Introduction
The w2207 is a great 22 inch monitor with a sleek design and a great set of features. This widescreen monitor is reasonably priced at around $360 as of the date of this writing. Because of its low price, it would be a great choice for someone looking to get their first widescreen LCD monitor.

The w2207 was released in early 2007 as a follow-up to the HP w22 which was released about a year before. HP has improved the successor in every way with better looks, features, and capabilities. Compared with similar LCDs on the market today, the w2207 fairs pretty well in both quality and price. The warranty of this flat panel falls a bit short, though; it's only good for one year. Many of the w2207's competitors offer a three-year warranty which has become pretty standard for the mid-level LCD flat panels. Beyond the warranty issue, there are not many negative things to be said for this monitor, because it is very solid in every aspect.
One other minor gripe that I have heard with this monitor is a small software issue, which has caused some users a bit of frustration. The included software is supposed to automatically switch the view on the screen from landscape to portrait mode when the user turns the screen 90 degrees, but some people have said that it doesn't work that way. HP is currently working on this bug, and I would expect it to be fixed very soon, if it isn't fixed already. So this is a problem that I would probably not worry about when purchasing the w2207, because it should be fixed by the summer of 2007.
