HP LP2465 Flat Panel Monitor - Features
This flat panel monitor is equipped with cutting-edge technology and a host of very advanced presentation features. The HP LP2465 screen has a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200, which makes viewing crystal clear images on your 24-inch viewable screen a real joy. This incredibly innovative monitor also boasts a series of other high performance features including the HP Display Assistant, which ensures your visual comfort and simplified monitor management.

The monitor also has easy to read text, even at very small typefaces, and it does exceptionally well with photographs. Despite coming with a three-year warranty and being one of the cheapest LCD monitors on the market, HP may struggle with sales because Dell offers a similar 24-inch LCD monitor called the Dell UltraSharp, which offers more diverse features, including better connectivity.
Another noticeable difference is the bezel. TheHP LP2465's designof a silver bezel framing the screen with a black base uses the opposite color screen of the Dell UltraSharp, which has a black bezel and a silver stand. The black bezel offers better contrast on the screen, whether it is an Excel spreadsheet, a Photoshop image, or while watching a movie.
The flexibility of the monitor proves to be one of its greatest features. Monitors similar in size, including the Dell UltraSharp, aren’t capable of moving like the HP monitor. You can swivel the display 45 degrees in either direction, tilt it forward 5 degrees and back 25 degrees. When the monitor is lowered as far as it will go, it rests a mere 8 centimeters above your desk. It can be raised 13 centimeters so that the bottom edge of the monitor is 21 centimeters above your desk. Still not impressed? Thedisplayalso pivots between landscape and portrait modes, and can be hung on a VESA wall mount.
Of course there will be those that consider Dell’s UltraSharp monitor to be the better buy, especially when considering that the two monitors are the exact same size, priced similarly, and HP’s competitor has better connectivity. It should be pointed out that what the LP2465 lacks in multimedia abilities, it more than makes up for in stability. For such a large display, HP’s monitor is uncharacteristically stable. The HP monitor’s base makes it less prone to wobble, and it fared better in stability tests than its competitors, including Dell’s UltraSharp.
