Dell Ultra Sharp 2407WFP - Performance and Image Quality
(Page 2 of 4 )
The 2407WFP has a relatively fast response time, making it among the best performers in its class. According to Dell, the 2407WFP is capable of a 6-millisecond response time which is sufficient. According to one test, the 2407WFP outperforms the Philips Brilliance 230P7, the Samsung SyncMaster 244T, and the BenQ FP231W. That is good company.
The 6-millisecond response time is good in most situations, but in some fast-moving situations, the 2407WFP can show some slight signs of ghosting. This may be evident in gaming situations or movies, where action usually moves at a high rate of speed. This minor annoyance is not that big of a deal, though, because that type of ghosting is quite common win large wide-screen monitors.
The colors and contrast on this flat panel are excellent and very accurate. The maximum resolution of the screen is 1920 x 1200 / 60 hertz. The image color is fully adjustable by using presets or manual settings. The image contrast ratio comes in at 1000:1.

Overall, I would give the performance and image quality of the 2407WFP an 8 out of 10. This monitor is not perfect in those categories, but it is certainly close. I don't see any major issues in this category, only a couple of minor ones which probably wouldn't be noticeable to the untrained eye. The bottom line is that this monitor will deliver the goods for you gamers out there, as well as impress people with its smooth and clear picture during movies.
