Dell 19 inch Flat Screen Monitor Review - Assembly
(Page 2 of 5 )
Connecting the flat panel to the stand is simple; line up the square on the stand with the corresponding square on the back of the monitor and snap it into place. The screen pops off again at the press of a button for storage or transport purposes. Connecting the monitor to a computer is also extremely simple, even without the incredibly detailed quick start guide, which would no doubt be helpful to people less familiar with computers.

Some TFT monitors have excessively sized stands, so while the screen takes up less space than a CRT on your desk, it still has a large footprint. The 1907FP is not guilty of this however as the stand is minimal and elegant, and gives you much more desk space

It has excellent pan and tilt ranges, giving you 90 degrees of horizontal swivel and 25 degrees of forward and back tilt. Tall and short people alike will easily find a height that suits them and makes for comfortable viewing as it has a little over 5 inches of up and down adjustable travel. If the screen is pushed down to the bottom of the stand it will lock into place, which presumably makes it safer to carry around if removing the stand isn't necessary (like swapping from one desk to another). A button on the back of the stand will then release it from its locked position when required. It even rotates, allowing you to easily switch from standard landscape to portrait with a minimum of fuss (although the appropriate setting in the OS will also need to be changed). All in all it's a very adjustable flat panel stand.
