    Conclusion
I must say I am extremely impressed with the quality of Cornea Systems MP704 LCD panel. It is one of the cheapest 17inch flat panels on the web even though its performance suggests something more expensive. The monitor isn't without flaws: the vertical viewing angle of 110 degrees is somewhat minimal and can be noticed, there is no DVI support, and the monitor at 75hz refresh rate does not work very well. On the other hand, the MP704 looks great, performs great (in terms of clarity and animation), and is INEXPENSIVE! (well, relative to what LCD monitors cost before).

The MP704's black bezel fits my setup perfectly. That however, may not be what you need. There are a bunch of other cheap LCDs on the net. KDS makes a 17 inch silver one for under 500 dollars as well (its the Rad-7; the box is shown in a picture above). Comparing the two monitors, image quality is generally the same. And so, for people looking for a cheap, quality, black, 17 inch LCD, the MP704 is certainly something to consider. I know a couple of the other guys around here sweat LCDs but aren't willing to invest the dough in one. If that's the case, wait a couple months and LCD prices should drop even more.

    • Inexpensive compared to other higher-end LCDs (Samsung?)
    • Excellent clarity at 60hz
    • Well designed exterior; sleek, thin, and black
    • Stand is foldable for wall mounting
    • Comes in a kewl box!
