    The Box

When I first received this box, it was wrapped in a white plastic cover. I thought at first it was the mini-ATX case I had purchased the week before; that is how small the box is. It is extremely thin and light. Likewise, there was nothing much inside the box except two large pieces of Styrofoam with the LCD sandwiched between, along with a small box with a skimpy instruction manual, driver CD, warranty card, power supply, power cable, and VGA cable.

These are just some of the basic specs of the monitor printed on the side of the box.

Here is a shot of the box compared to the boxes of a KDS Rad-7 17inch LCD and Sony SDM-M61 16inch LCD.

As you can see, I was quite impressed with the box the MP704 came in even though there wasn't much inside. But that doesn't really matter does it. =P

    The Monitor
The MP704 is one of the best looking flat panels I have yet to scene. It is very thin, simple, and sharp. The Cornea logo doesn't look lame, and the buttons on the bottom of the monitor do not stand out. The monitor is completely black. The stand is rectangular shaped and serves to keep the monitor upright; it only lifts the monitor into the air about one inch. The bezel is one and a half inches thick; it has a beveled edge to it making it look even thinner, very smart design on Cornea's part. I have seen some Dell 17inch LCDs and those are monstrous! The back of those flat panels are round shaped and obtrude tremendously. The MP704 however, is nice and flat. Pictures are worth a thousand words.

There are just two connections on the back of the monitor, hidden beneath a little indentation. One is for power, the other for VGA input.

Here is a closer pic of the label.

The monitor was made in March '02 in Korea. =)

One feature that the MP704 has is the ability to fold down like so:
