Pentax Optio A40 - Modes
The camera also provides a large number of photographic modes that offer great flexibility in how the camera is used in a wide variety of situations. Alongside standard mode options such as automatic, program, shutter priority, night, landscape and portrait, Pentax has included a range of more unusual options, including:
Flower mode
Automatically optimized focus and color settings to suit nature subjects.
Natural skin tone mode
Color optimization for skin tones.
Food mode
Increased color saturation for food photography.
Kids mode
Designed for moving subjects, on the basis that children rarely sit still for long enough to have their pictures taken.
Pets mode
Pet mode is color-optimized for animal photography, and offers settings based on the color of your pet's fur.
Sports mode
Many cameras have sports modes which maximize the shutter speed for moving subjects, but not all offer snow and surf sub-settings like the A40.
Text mode
Optimized to allow the capture of sharp images of black and white text, but can be used in other situations where monochrome is required.
