    Olympus W-10 Review - Software/PC use

As user-friendly as the recorder itself is, the software is no different. The Olympus Voice Album software is simple, easy and to the point. Once installed, it offers you a few things you can do with your files:
    a) transfer files

    b) play back audio with its own interface not needing an external player

    c) adjust brightness/contrast of your pictures

    d) Do an “intro” 5sec playback of all audio files transferred
    e) Create a Voice album consisting of pictures accompanied by sound clips

    f) View a slide show of pictures with sound
    g) Use the camera inside to capture images while watching it on the monitor
    h) Sync the recorder’s time with your PC’s clock

The recorder’s interface is USB 1.1, which is a little disappointing, but, on the other hand, It only has 16MB max memory, so 2.0 would be an unnecessary addition (all about those corners again). I wish you were able to access the W-10 as a separate drive, but it only works with the software supplied and the PC does not recognize it as a USB mass storage device.
