Logitech QuickCam Sphere/Orbit MP Review - Conclusion

Overall, the camera performs well and provides a clear image and clear sound for the people you video chat with online. The face tracking works, even if it is occasionally jerky when tracking you and has a tendency to zoom in and out repeatedly. The software support seems reasonable and the device doesn't appear to interfere or conflict with certainly the rest of the hardware on my system. It looks great and definitely feels equipped to deal with the demands of the average home user. I hope the list will help refresh its good and bad points following the conclusion:

    Pros

    • Looks good
    • Feels sturdy (when stand not connected)
    • Motorized face tracking
    • Activity light
    • Wide viewing angle and tilt
    • 1.3 Mp image
    • Lighting and sound enhancements
    • Good software package
    • High quality yet unobtrusive integrated microphone

    Cons

    • Expensive for a home web cam
    • Mechanical complications may shorten life of camera
    • May cause driver issues on older machines
